I had a great time with these brand new parents the other day while we captured some photos of their baby girlThere is something about the first baby and the way that they change your whole world that is just so very special
This little girl was awesome in front of the lens. Slept and posed like a pro
Enjoy your sneak peek!
Rachel and Hem married in a beautiful summer ceremony on Monday July 15, 2013 which was actually their dating anniversary as well! The ceremony at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden was gorgeous and they had a great time surrounded by close family and friends. It was wonderful sharing their special day with them! They are such a fun couple who I just know will enjoy a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hem!

I met Sarah last year when she was looking for a wedding photographer and we immediately hit it off. I knew I liked her when she came to our consultation with notes, and sample photos and a clear vision of what she wanted. In preparation for all of our photo shoots, I have lots of image samples and Pinspiration to look through and drool over. They are both endlessly thoughtful, kind, and fun to be aroundThey actually kind of remind me of my husband and I
We took some engagement photos last spring (the sneak peek for which I cannot find… what the heck???) and I captured their wedding day last September at the West End Theater (whose blog post I also cannot find… I must be slacking!) Always organized and planning ahead, Sarah made it immediately clear that they would begin trying for a baby upon becoming married, which was obviously successful because here we are! They are expecting their first bundle of joy in early August and decided to keep the gender a surprise! (Brave!) We captured photos in two locations for her maternity photos; one at Edgefield to get some outdoor shots and then more at their home for more of a boudoir feel (which I’m not posting
I can’t wait to find out if they have a boy or a girl and see their sweet baby in a few weeks!
I have so many great things to say about this wedding, but I’ll keep it short since there are 50+ images to look through in this blog post aloneMorgan and AJ wed last weekend in a BEAUTIFUL ceremony in their hometown of Sandy, Oregon after several years of courtship. The wedding took place at Mountain View Weddings, right here in Sandy and was coordinated by the lovely Donna Cole of Pearl and Roses Wedding Planning. She did a fantastic job! There was NOOOOO STRESS whatsoever for this sweet bride and groom; they were able to be calm, relaxed, and fully enjoy their day. We started photos at their home and were able to incorporate their cute pup and gorgeous horse into many formal shots.
Destination Unknown Transportation/Party Bus took the bride and groom and their bridal party to the venue where everyone was in awe of the beautiful setup, gorgeous floral arrangements by Forte Floral, rentals by Barclay Event Rentals and design of the space by Pearl and Roses. Burlap, lace, Mason Jars, candles, and a soft Khaki and White color pallet were perfect for a summer wedding in the country. The air was filled with smells of delicious food cooked by the one and only Busy Bee Catering, who served up a beautiful meal (seriously, gorgeous presentation and delicious! Check them out!)
Morgan and AJ are adorable. I knew that from their engagement session a few weeks ago, and together with their fun as heck bridal party, we got some amazing images!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to illustrate great news through photographs… several months ago my cousin Jessica shared with me that I needed to keep next August 9th open because she expected to be getting married that day (she wasn’t yet engaged, but knows how fast I fill up so she planned ahead- I love her!And happily, this 4th of July her sweet boyfriend Jonathan proposed under fireworks filled skies with her family there to witness such a special event
So a few days ago we took a few engagement photos (more to come
and also decided to make another special little announcement (see bottom photos
I’m so happy for this growing family!
